The Philadelphia Union is proud to bring its second year of summer select to North Jersey. Our summer select program allows youth players to showcase their skills and represent the Philadelphia Union in two EDP summer tournaments.

This summer select program is open to all travel players with each registered player being evaluated at our ID session.

Players will need to attend the ID session so they can be accurately evaluated and placed in teams.

There will be at least one team per age group accepted into the program (providing we have enough numbers for that respective age group).

Teams will practice twice a week for 3 weeks and play in 2 EDP tournaments.

PROCESS:

1. Registration for the ID Session is $10.REGISTRATION CLOSES January 4th 2025.
2. Attend the ID Session to be evaluated.
3. Receive communication about tryout results.
4. Selected players will register through daysmart on the "Philadelphia Union Summer Select 2025" registration and pay: $500.
5. Attend as many of the 6 scheduled training sessions as possible.
6. Participate in 2 summer tournaments.
7. Communicate with the Program Director if you are unable to attend any events.

WHY ID SESSIONS?

Evaluations allow us to accurately assess and place players in teams.

Keeping players in a competitive environment is crucial for their development.

Any player that attends the ID sessions and is not invited to join a team will be put on a waitlist and may be invited to join if a player drops.

Teams will have 6 practices over the course of the 3 week program.

Teams will practice Tuesdays and Thursdays.

First practice Monday July 7th, final practice Thursday July 24th.

Individual team practice times and dates to be announces once teams are formed.

TOURNAMENTS:

July 12th-13th - EDP Central Jersey Invitational - Multiple locations.

July 26th-27th - EDP Summer Sizzler - Tuckahoe Turf Farms, Hammonton NJ

Indoor turf fields, 51 Pottersville Road, Pottersville NJ 07979

Academy or Club level players.

2017 (U8) to 2007 (U18) Male and Female.
